"The Journey" is a piece that I was recently commissioned to do. It's about a womens life and her journey. Through this project, I found that I was a bit of a poet. When you read the poem and look hard at the painting you can see how it all relates....
I walk with purpose, my head held high, no matter the obstacles before me. I welcome life, its twists and turns, no matter the tears that blind me. I will climb, I will fall, but no matter, the wind will carry me. I have lived, I have loved, and created what surrounds me. I have no regrets, the burden too heavy to carry. I have faith and love with a past to guide me. A breath, a single moment, my moment, my journey.
